Do Colombian citizens need a visa to visit Uganda?
Colombian citizens need to obtain a visa to enter Uganda. In 2016, the Ugandan Government introduced an electronic visa (e-Visa) system, which allows eligible countries, including Colombia, to apply for visas online, eliminating the need to visit an Embassy or Consulate. For tourism purposes, Uganda Immigration Services offers the following types of e-visas:
- Tourist e-Visa: The tourist e-visa permits visitors to stay in the country for tourism purposes for up to 90 days, and it allows for a single entry.
- East Africa e-Visa: This type of e-visa allows travelers to visit Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda within 90 days and permits multiple entries.
- Transit e-Visa: The transit e-visa allows visitors to transit through Uganda for a maximum of 7 days, and this visa cannot be extended.
Additionally, travelers can get a visa on arrival in Uganda. However, we highly advise you to select the online visa application approach. For better information, check the differences between Uganda eVisa and Visa on arrival.
