Can DR Congo citizens get visas on arrival in Uganda?
DR Congo citizens planning to visit Uganda must make sure they possess the necessary documents. Except for visa-free countries, all travelers, including those from DR Congo, need a Uganda visa for entry. It’s important to be aware that Uganda visa-on-arrival is no longer available at Entebbe International Airport. Consequently, individuals arriving in Uganda without a consular visa or without having applied for an electronic visa will be sent back to their point of origin.
Before July 2016, obtaining a Uganda visa at the airport was a viable option. Travelers could board their flights and secure a visa upon their arrival. However, the Ugandan government decided to replace the visa on arrival with an electronic visa. As a result of this transition, the availability of this facility has decreased, leading to occasional delays. Consequently, individuals arriving in Uganda without a consular visa or without having applied for an electronic visa will be sent back to their point of origin. Kindly Check your requirements for Uganda eVisa before applying.
