Yes, the Uganda e-Visa can be extended under certain circumstances. If you wish to extend your stay beyond the initial duration granted by your e-Visa, you can apply for a visa extension through the Ugandan immigration authorities. A COVID-19 vaccine certificate is not mandatory for travelers to Uganda. Generally, if you are vaccinated, you can enter the country without taking a COVID-19 test. On the other hand, unvaccinated travelers who do not have a negative COVID-19 test will be denied entry. You should have a negative COVID-19 test result and follow the health guidelines during your stay. Children under five years old are also exempt from testing. Additionally, you are required to have a Yellow fever vaccine when applying for a Uganda e-visa. Travel insurance is also necessary, especially for trips abroad. With this insurance, you can be secured if you are unfortunately infected with COVID-19 or experience other unexpected risks during your travel. You can purchase travel insurance plan quickly while completing the online visa application form.

Although printing out your e-visa is not required, it's advisable to have a copy of your e-visa. Travelers should prepare a hard copy of their e-visa when they arrive at one of the border checkpoints in Uganda: A confirmed e-visa permit: Therefore, it is essential to have a printed copy of the e-visa document for your trip. A valid passport that remains valid for no less than six months from the entry date A Uganda e-visa is an electronic visa that allows travelers to enter Uganda for tourism, transit, or visit the East Africa region without having to go to a Ugandan embassy or consulate. You can apply for one of the following visas depending on the reason you visit the country: Tourist visa: This visa is valid for up to 3 months and allows one entry into Uganda.  Transit visa: This visa is valid for 07 days. It is suitable for travelers who transit through Uganda en route to another destination. East Africa visa: This visa is valid for up to 90 days and allows multiple entries into Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda.

If travelers wish to pass through Uganda, they will probably require a valid visa. Depending on your nationality, you can apply for an online e-visa at the Uganda Immigration Services website, and may also check your Uganda e-visa eligibility before beginning the application. A transit visa is granted to travelers transiting through Uganda to a third country, and it is valid for a maximum of 07 days and is not extendable. To apply for a transit visa, you must have a copy of your passport (the passport must be valid for at least 06 months), a passport-size photo, a vaccination certificate for yellow fever, and a flight ticket.  Moreover, kindly print out at least a copy of your Uganda transit e-visa before your departure, as the immigration officers at the border checkpoint may ask you to show it. 

In most cases, you cannot make any changes in your application form after submitting it. If you wish to modify any information, you should contact Uganda Immigration Services immediately within a few hours following your application submission.  Once your Uganda visa application is submitted to the Government, it undergoes a review and processing by the relevant immigration or consular authorities. Altering the application at this stage can be challenging and may not be allowed unless additional information is requested by the Immigration Officer. It is also important to note that any changes after the submission of an e-visa application will be considered a new application. That means you have to pay a new visa fee again for your Uganda e-visa application.
