• By road: Drive from Kampala to Kasese

The road conditions are generally good, with paved sections for most of the way. Two routes are from Kampala to Kasese, the gateway to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park. The quickest option is a 300-kilometer drive through Mubende, taking around 4 hours. Alternatively, a longer 350-kilometer route starting in Kampala and passing through Masaka, Mbarara, Busheny, and Kasese is also available.
